The Stage 1 CNC treatment begins with a thorough cleaning and inspection of your heads. The springs are then carefully tested for correct pressure and travel. All valves are then inspected for straightness and then re-faced. The intake and exhaust ports are then reshaped on a state of the art CNC machine to optimize torque and horsepower producing airspeed. The CNC process guarantees a level of quality and accuracy simply not possible with hand ported heads. NRHS Hurricane bronze manganese guides are installed and then sized for the correct clearance. The valve job consists of a proprietary profile specific to NRHS, with the intake designed for maximum flow and the exhaust optimized for both flow and heat dissipation. The head surface area is then flat-milled to ensure an absolutely flat gasket surface and to correct for the small amount of volume added during the valve job. The heads are then re-cleaned and assembled with all valve spring installed heights within .005 in. of one another to reduce valve train harmonics to a minimum. Finally, the heads go on the flow bench to ensure that the front and rear-head flow numbers are correct and balanced for maximum power and ease of tuning. The end result is a high quality pair of heads that will significantly improve the performance of your motorcycle without costing you a fortune. NRHS is proud to announce our newest stage of headwork for Twin Cam heads.  We call it stage 2 light.  You still get the same great CNC porting that our regular stage 2 kits come with plus stainless  7mm valves with a black diamond coating in 1.900 Intake and 1.630 exhaust sizes, beehive springs and bronze guides and seals.  We have found that when using cams with lifts of .575 or less that the new beehive spring kits from HD work excellent.  By using these springs you not only save money but also eliminate the need for rocker box clearancing and put less strain on the valvetrain components.  The perfect choice for cams such as S&S 510G, Redshift 575 and SE 203s.  It is recommended that you use adjustable pushrods with these heads. The best part is the cost.  Only $750 using your heads!!!

Looking for even more? The NRHS Stage 2 Twin Cam CNC ported heads are for the customer who wants the most out of his street engine combination. Every head is ported on our state of the art CNC equipment and then flow tested to ensure quality and performance. The Stage 2 head is at home on heavy or light bikes. Carbureted or injected, the Stage 2 produces excellent horsepower and torque across a broad rpm range. In addition to the treatment given to the Stage 1 heads, Stage 2 Twin Cam heads incorporate all new NRHS Hurricane components including chromium silicon valve springs that can accommodate cam lifts up to .650". Also included are oversize 1.900/1.615" NRHS Hurricane valves machined to a proprietary profile to maximize flow over the entire lift range. This valve along with NRHS's own valve seat profile make the head perform fantastically for many thousands of miles. These are a maximum torque and horsepower cylinder head in every sense, custom ported on a state of the art CNC machine with our proprietary CNC-FLEX process that custom tailors the port profile to your specific application, thus combining the quality of  CNC porting with the custom capability of hand porting. From this advanced porting technique to the superb quality NRHS Hurricane components, this head is the total package. Whether you ride your bike on the street or at the track, or maybe a little of both, we feel that this is simply the best and most versatile OEM casting high performance cylinder head on the market. Like the Stage 2, these heads come ready to bolt on with NRHS Hurricane valve springs and components. The springs are selected to match the camshafts you plan to use, with spring travel that supports up to .600, .650, or .700 of lift. The heads are fitted with valve sizes specific to your combination (up to 2.00" intake/1.630" exhaust) and we'll even optionally cut the deck and/or cut angled squish bands so that the cylinder head is blueprinted to your complete engine combination, at no extra cost.
